How we handle your data on the Cogit Opus website — what we collect, why, and what rights you have.

Last updated: 18 May 2026

This privacy policy explains how Cogit Opus (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal data on this marketing website. We've kept it short and in plain language because there isn't a lot to say — we don't run accounts, we don't sell data, and we only use analytics if you give us permission.

1. Who we are

Cogit Opus is a software studio based in Dubai, UAE, building AI-native workflow platforms and integrations. The data controller for this website is Cogit Opus, P.O. Box 74348, Dubai, UAE.

2. What we collect

There are two ways data reaches us through this site:

  • checkAnalytics data — if you accept cookies, Firebase Analytics records anonymous information about your visit (pages viewed, time on page, approximate region, browser and device type, referring site).
  • checkEmail enquiries — if you email us at info@cogitopus.com (via the contact link on our site or directly from your own email client), we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

We don't run user accounts, we don't store passwords, and we don't process payments on this site.

3. How we use it

Analytics data helps us understand which pages people find useful and where the site is breaking down — so we can improve it. Contact form data is used to reply to your enquiry and, if relevant, to start a conversation about a project. We don't add you to a marketing list and we don't pass your details to anyone else.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to measure how the site is being used. Firebase Analytics drops cookies in your browser to do this. We only load Firebase Analytics after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you click “Reject” (or never respond), no analytics cookies are set and no analytics events are sent.

We don't use any marketing, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies on this site.

You can change your mind at any time: re-open the cookie banner and pick a different option, or clear the cogitOpusCookieConsent entry in your browser's local storage.

5. Third-party services

The site uses these third-party services:

  • checkGoogle Firebase / Google Analytics 4 — analytics, loaded only after consent. Google Privacy Policy
  • checkFirebase Hosting (or our chosen hosting provider) — serves the site. Server logs may briefly record IP addresses and request paths for security and operational purposes.

6. How long we keep it

Analytics data is retained according to Google's default GA4 retention (typically 2 to 14 months depending on the property configuration). Email enquiries are kept for as long as is reasonably needed to respond to your enquiry and any follow-up conversation — usually no longer than 24 months unless we're actively working together.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict our processing, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@cogitopus.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. For substantive changes (e.g. adding a new third-party service that processes personal data) we'll show a notice on the cookie banner so visitors can review their choice.
